Show Love for Yourself this Valentine's Day

It's Valentine’s Day!! Everywhere you look there are reminders that it is time to buy chocolates and flowers to show your loved ones how much you care. This day of love can be a tricky one if you are not sure who you want to show your love to. It can feel like so much pressure on this holiday to have or find a special someone to be in a romantic relationship. If we only focus on the pursuit of someone to share this romantic holiday with we can feel disappointed, sad and lonely. Instead, I want you to take a moment to show yourself some self-love. You are the best and deserve a day of self-love.

There are so many things you can do to show your love for yourself. You can buy yourself some candy and flowers to brighten your day. Maybe take yourself to the spa for some healing touch. Write yourself a love letter to remind yourself of all of your wonderful qualities. No one knows how awesome you are like you. How about a date night with yourself? Make yourself a nice meal of your favorite foods. Then enjoy your favorite meal while watching your favorite movie. I have to admit Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley is my favorite movie. Or, there is always enjoying an evening while reading a good book. You could even enjoy this book in a nice bubble bath. The possibilities are endless.

Valentine's Day is a wonderful opportunity to take a moment and care for ourselves. Be creative there are so many wonderful ways to treat ourselves without breaking the bank. Once we have taken care of ourselves, maybe then we will have the energy to take care of others. Enjoy!!

Thank you,

Joanna
